THEME : THE CARE OF THE PARENT’S BIRDS
CHARACTERS: THE YOUNG SEAGULL
AND IT’S FAMILY.

The Young Seagull:
The Young Seagull was alone on the
ledge. His parents, brothers and sister
had flown away the day before. The great
expanse of sea stretched down beneath, and it was such a long way down-miles
down. He was afraid of flying. He felt that his wings would not support to
fly him.
Activities of the parents:
The
young seagull’s parents had come around calling to him shrilly, scolding him, threatening
to let him starve on his ledge, unless he flew away. The young seagull managed
to find dried pieces of mackerel’s tail.
He had searched every inch, rooting among the rough, dirt-cake straw
nest where he and his brothers and sister had been hatched. He even gnawed at the dried pieces of
eggshell.
The Young Seagull’s First Flight:
The young seagull was hungry and cried at his mother begging to bring him over some food. She screamed back mockingly and she picked up a piece of fish with it. This made the young seagull utter a joyful scream.
The
young seagull was seized with fear for a moment and could feel the tips of his
wings cut through the air. The next
moment he was fearless, though felt a bit dizzy, and flapped his wings to soar
up and down with a joyous scream. He
realized that he was flying.
Encouragement of the family:
When the young seagull started
flying, it’s family was very happy and the young bird’s family flying around him, praising,
soaring and diving together with him. He was offered scraps of dog fish.
Conclusion:
This story tells us about “Necessity
is the mother of action”. All are happy to see him flying. His hungry compelled him to fly.
“Confidence
is the key to success”.

Parents
are our first teacher. They are role
models for children. They love their
children. Whenever the children make
mistake, they advise them to be good.
Parent’s guidelines:
It is said
that children start learning and responding even when they are in the womb of
the mother. A child which grows, without
the guidance of the parents, lack in the art of speech, walking, holding
things, eating and even doing their day-to-day basic activities. Children need even toilet training.
Struggles in life:
Some
children can learn easily as they young seagull’s siblings. But few hesitate or struggle while learning
new things like the young seagull. To
them, the parents have to be harsh for the betterment of their life as we see
the parents of the young seagull in this lesson who have to starve it until it
flies. It is the duty of every parent to
educate and teach their young ones the art of life.
Success ways given by parents:
We realize
later that they are like this, only to give us encouragement and to avoid our
fear and doubts. They guide us to
overcome our fears in life. We have to
conquer our fear and venture forth. Moral:
bend the twig, bend the tree.
Conclusion:
Parents are
only visible God in the world. They are
always as the first teachers in the world to the children.
